These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website hewoconnect.com and the Hewoconnect verified freelancer network (together, the "Platform"), operated by Hewoconnect ("Hewoconnect", "we", "us", or "our"). By joining our Early Access waitlist, applying for membership, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Who Can Join

Hewoconnect is exclusively for independent, individual freelancers. Agencies, companies, and organisations are not eligible to apply for or hold membership. By applying, you confirm that you are an independent professional acting in your individual capacity, and not on behalf of an agency or company.

2. Early Access Waitlist

Joining the Early Access waitlist reserves your place to be notified when applications officially open for your profession and district. It does not guarantee approval, membership, or any specific launch date. Hewoconnect may, at its discretion, prioritise, limit, or close waitlist registrations for any profession or district at any time.

3. Verification Process

Every application is manually reviewed. Our team assesses, at a minimum, your professional portfolio, previous work, experience, communication quality, professional presence, and overall profile quality. Hewoconnect reserves the sole discretion to approve or reject any application, and is under no obligation to disclose the specific reasons for rejection.

4. Membership

Approved applicants may activate a verified profile by paying the Annual Membership Fee in effect at the time of activation, currently ₹12,000 plus 18% GST per year. Membership:

• Is personal to the verified individual and non-transferable
• Is limited to a maximum of 100 verified freelancers per profession, per district, subject to availability
• Renews annually at the then-current fee, unless cancelled in accordance with Section 6

Founding Launch Offer terms (where applicable) are communicated separately at the time of invitation and form part of these Terms for eligible members.

5. Fees and Payment

All fees are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Membership fees are payable in advance and, except as required by law or expressly stated in these Terms, are non-refundable once your verified profile has been activated.

6. Cancellation and Termination

You may cancel your membership at any time by contacting hello@hewoconnect.com; cancellation will take effect at the end of your current paid membership term. Hewoconnect may suspend or terminate your membership, without refund, if you provide false or misleading information, misuse the Platform, or breach these Terms.

7. No Bidding, No Guaranteed Work

Hewoconnect is a verified professional network, not a bidding marketplace. We do not guarantee any minimum volume of business enquiries, leads, or income. Business enquiries may arise organically or through Hewoconnect's own marketing campaigns, and their frequency will vary by profession, district, and market conditions.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information during application or verification
• Use the Platform on behalf of an agency, company, or any party other than yourself
• Attempt to circumvent, disrupt, or interfere with the Platform's security or normal operation
• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable law

9. Intellectual Property

The Hewoconnect name, logo, and all associated branding, design, and content on the Platform are the property of Hewoconnect and may not be used without our prior written consent.

10. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". While we manually verify applicants, Hewoconnect does not guarantee the accuracy, quality, or reliability of any member's work, and is not a party to, and bears no responsibility for, any agreement between members and businesses.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hewoconnect shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of income or business opportunities, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
